The first Flat meeting of the year at Fairyhouse, it offers a combination of competitive handicaps and intriguing maidens. The handicaps will present ample betting opportunities for punters that like a puzzle, while the maidens can produce a smart performer. Indeed, if you had come to the equivalent meeting in 2009, you would have seen such smart performers as Unity, Smart Striking and Cat Fire, all of which went on to be competitive at Stakes level. Emulous was a horse of note in 2010 as she went on to win the Coolmore Fusaichi Pegasus Matron Stakes at Leopardstown on Champion Stakes weekend.
