What the Trainers say for Fairyhouse
Paul Nolan
Noble Prince – Normans Grove Steeplechase
He seems be in great form and we’ve decided to come here instead of taking on Big Zeb and Sizing Europe at Punchestown in a few weeks time. The ground will be very testing which won’t suit him, but he has run well all season and he has been a very good horse for us. This will be his last run before Cheltenham and we’d be hoping that he runs a big race, but he would ideally prefer a bit further.
Jupitor – Nina-Meath Sportsperson 2011 Flat Race
He has run two good races to date and he stayed on well the last day at Gowran, but we rode him a big negatively that day and we’ll ride him handier today. He seems to handle the soft ground and we know that he does stay well, so we’d be hoping that he runs a good race on ground that he shouldn’t mind.
Seamus Fahey
Caolaneoin – Fairyhouse Schooling Races Maiden Hurdle
We were very happy with his first run over hurdles and he has been fine since. He has come on for that and we know that he likes Fairyhouse and that is why we are bringing him back here. He is a big horse and the ground won’t be an issue for him. We’d be hoping for a very big run.
John ‘Shark’ Hanlon
De’ Oro – Costa Coffee Dock Handicap Hurdle
He works like a very good horse at home, but he has my heart broken as he has disappointed us so often (on the track). He has a nice weight on his back and we know that he handles the ground, but I couldn’t be confident about him and I just hope that he runs a nice race.
Silver Circle – Nina-Meath Sportsperson 2011
He has yet to run a bad race and he went for the gate at Tramore the last day and only for that, he’d have won. He goes on the ground and he has a chance again today, but Willie’s horses (Champagne Fever) ran very well at Leopardstown in what was a good bumper and he looks the one to beat. My lad has a chance of reaching the frame.

Dazzling Susie – Easter Festival 8th-10th April Mares Novice Hurdle
I was disappointed with her the last day at Fairyhouse, but that was in a Grade 1. You can forget her run before that at Punchestown as we got the tactics wrong and we’ll ride her differently today. We are trying her with ear plugs today and she has to settle to get home over today’s trip. Jimmy Mangan’s mare is probably the one to beat, but my mare is back in good form again now and we wouldn’t be running her if we didn’t think that she had a chance.

Noras Fancy - Easter Festival 8th-10th April Mares Novice Hurdle
She is in great form and she loves testing ground. She has collected black type twice for us this season and hopefully she’ll pick up some more today. I would be concerned about the trip as she is better over further, but it might develop into a bit of a slog on the ground. She is in super form and we are looking forward to it.
Paul Flynn
Gurrawn Vic – Bobbyjo Restaurant Package Maiden Hurdle
He is a nice horse that has plenty of experience from point to points. Even though there is only a small field, it looks a very good race and my horse looks up against it. I’d be delighted if he ran into the money.
