IT’S ALL POMP AND SPLENDOUR AT THE BOYLESPORTS IRISH GRAND NATIONAL

FAIRYHOUSE RACECOURSE, THIS EASTER MONDAY 17th APRIL 2017

Carton House, one of Ireland’s leading luxury resorts, is once again proud to host the Most Stylish Lady competition at the Boylesports Irish Grand National at Fairyhouse this Easter Monday 17TH April 2017. Legendary jockey Paul Carberry joined Irish TV broadcaster and style icon, Jenny Buckley, to announce her role as judge for this year’s competition.

The theme of this year’s Carton House Most Stylish Lady competition is 'Pomp and Splendour’ and invites competitors to embrace the ceremonial splendour of race day!  From magnificent displays of millinery to this season’s game-changing colours and textures, competitors are encouraged to bring their own innate sense of Pomp and Splendour to this year’s BoyleSports Irish Grand National race day.

The Carton House Most Stylish Lady winner will win a fabulous two night’s bed, breakfast and evening meal in a hotel in the prosecco region of Italy, in conjunction with Eno wines.  This amazing trip includes a visit to the Bortolotti Prosecco Winery, with lunch, and transfers to and from the airport and winery.  Ladies hoping to vie for the title can register at the Carton House Most Stylish Lady marquee beside the parade ring in Fairyhouse, from 12 noon on Easter Monday.

Retired jockey, Paul Carberry, says the Irish Grand National is one of his most cherished race meets:

‘‘From my earliest memories of horse racing, the Irish Grand National always stood out in my mind. As a globally renowned event, from the adrenaline filled main race to the social side of the festival including the Carton House Most Stylish Lady competition, which my wife Rachel knows a lot more about than me, it’s a day when all the family can get together and enjoy the festivities. Obviously, my best memory is winning the race on the legendary BobbyJo and this year the family and I will be watching from the opposite side of the fence and soaking up the great atmosphere at our local track”
