Easter Monday 10th April 2023
The BoyleSports Irish Grand National has become a stalwart at the heart of the Irish sporting calendar. A race which encapsulates everything that is great about Irish racing, affords connections the opportunity to etch their names into history and join an elusive group who have been fortunate enough to be successful in this race. The BoyleSports Irish Grand National is the richest chase in the Irish calendar, standing at a whopping €500,000. The substantial prize fund, coupled with the reputation of the race attracts the game’s best runners and riders to Fairyhouse to take on this demanding course.
What is unique about the BoyleSports Irish Grand National is that it captures
individuals from every walk of life, not just regular racegoers. People
throughout the country are enthralled by the event and often have various
unique ways of picking a winner.
Lord Lariat won the 2022 contest at odds of 40/1 for local trainer Dermot McLoughlin giving him his second consecutive win in the race following Freewheelin Dylan's success in 2021 at 150/1.
Complimenting the racing action on Easter Monday, the Dunboyne Castle Hotel & Spa Most Stylish Lady takes centre stage with a fabulous prize on offer to the Most Stylish Lady - more details to be announced.
