Fairyhouse Racecourse are delighted to announce WillowWarm as their new Gold Cup sponsor. The prestigious Grade 1 Novice Steeplechase Race will take place on Easter Sunday, April 9.

The WillowWarm Gold Cup is the feature race on day two of the popular Fairyhouse Easter Festival. The Grade 1 contest boasts a prize fund of €100,000 and this prestigious race has attracted high class calibre horses over the years, including last year’s Irish Gold Cup Winner Galopin Des Champs, who has since claimed the Boodles Gold Cup title at Cheltenham. This race has a long and colourful history with winners including Al Boom Photo, Doran’s Pride and probably the most famous chaser of all time, Arkle.

Guaranteed Irish WillowWarm Briquettes are an environmentally friendly value for money alternative to traditional fuel briquettes. WillowWarm Briquettes are 100% carbon neutral and 100% natural. The Meath based company’s aim is to help Ireland transition to renewable heat by providing sustainable, efficient, economic products. Architect and TV broadcaster Dermot Bannon is the company’s Brand Ambassador.

Peter Roe, General Manager of Fairyhouse commented: “We are delighted to welcome WillowWarm on board as sponsor of one of the most informative races of the Irish jumps season, The Novice Gold Cup. It is great to have a Meath company which produces an environmentally friendly, sustainable product that is grown and produced in the county. The team at Fairyhouse look forward to working with WillowWarm this Easter and beyond.”

Founder of WillowWarm Alan Fox commented: With our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility based in Balrath, Kells currently employing over 60 people we’re delighted to be investing in our local racing community. We wish Peter and the Fairyhouse team the very best for the Festival and we look forward to a long partnership with the event.”
